Sitting at work is kind of the new smoking (yes, I didn’t create this one – its been a meme for a few years now).
My article on how to sit is well worth a read, but it’s still the case that taking frequent breaks from sitting will really help offset some of the quite negative impacts that an office or studying lifestyle can have on your health.
So it’s good to see some validation that standing desks have been researched and yes, been shown to make a difference.
If you’ve got the budget for one in a home office setup, or have influence in a corporate environment, then take some action!
